The department's primary responsibilities is to develop comprehensive plans, strategies, policies, regulations, and procedures related to research and innovation. These guidelines provide a robust framework for research activities and are crucial for maintaining academic excellence. Additionally, the department oversees the implementation of these policies to ensure they are effectively put into practice.

A core mission of the department is to promote research activities among both staff members and students.

The department actively seeks and promotes collaborative research and innovation initiatives with other educational institutions and organizations. A special emphasis is placed on promoting research and innovation through STEM disciplines (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), recognizing their pivotal role in shaping the future.

The department also maintains the College’s research database, providing oversight and monitoring of all research activities within the college. This ensures that research efforts are transparently tracked and reported.
